iPhone Overview

So a few of you know already that August 1, 2008 I bought the new iPhone 3G that I’ve been waiting for since they came out with the original. After owning it for a couple of weeks I’ve found out some interesting information that may help others that are contemplating getting one. Below I’ve compromised a list of pros and cons about the iPhone as well as some interesting facts, the more I learn about it I will edit this post with updated information about it.

Pros:

  • Capable to browse the real website version, not some mobile or stripped down version
  • Zoom feature for website, e-mails, and pictures
  • Apps, Apps, and more Apps!
  • Voicemail capabilities
  • GPS & Traffic Reports
  • Quality of the Camera is the best that I’ve seen on a phone

Cons:

  • Does not display Java or Flash when surfing the internet
  • Can’t send images via text messaging
  • Can’t download music when not connected to wifi
  • Battery life
  • Occasional glitch of showing black screen and apple logo when trying to start an App

Cool Apps:

  • Balance - helps you keep track of your account balance so you don’t need to balance your checkbook
  • Cellfire - Coupons by location to entertainment, food, groceries, and much more
  • Shazam - Hear a song on the radio that you like? Find out who it is by letting your iPhone listen to it for a few seconds… And yes, it can tell the difference between covers and originals
  • Remote - Control your iTunes from anywhere in your home!
  • Pandora - Just an amazingly fresh online music site, listen to what you want to hear with no commercials!
  • eBay - Access your eBay account and search for more stuff while out and about.
