Webmaster Jam Session 2008

That’s right, Webmaster Jam Session 2008… Two days of fun, learning, jamming, and hanging out with fellow geeks! I gotta tell you guys, I kind of thought that I had a pretty good idea of how to do what I do. This weekend changed my perspective on everything that I’ve ever known about web design…

For the past few months I’ve really wanted to connect with leaders in my industry and pick their brains as well as just get to be friends and develop a network relationship with them. What more perfect of a way to expand but through going to a “Webmaster Jam Session”. I immediately signed up the day I got the CD promo in the mail and I was completely stoked to go. When I got there I just felt this buzz and my excitement rose even more! I didn’t know anybody there, I know a lot of their work but I just didn’t know who they were, you know, the people behind the work…

I went through a series of amazing classes taught by leaders of the industry, and the cool thing was that when they were done teaching a class they would be sitting next to us in another class taking notes! What a truly amazing industry where even the web design super stars were taking notes in another class related to what they’ve been doing for the past 10 years! This really goes to show that it is a ever evolving line of work and to keep up you’ve got to just take in everything that you possibly can…

Below is a list of the classes that I was in along with the person that spoke on it. I took a lot of notes in each of the classes and I want to put them on here so as I go along I’ll be linking each of the below classes to my blog with the notes. I can’t do them all at once so over the next month I will be posting one every few days.
